Independent Director Opportunities, Board of Directors – Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Our client, Buttcon, is seeking to add two Independent Directors to its Board of Directors at a meaningful stage in the company’s evolution. These private company board opportunities are intended to complement the Board’s strong operational and industry foundation with targeted external expertise, while also broadening perspective and strengthening overall governance capability.

The two roles may be filled by individuals with distinct but complementary backgrounds.

Independent Director - The Role:

Each Independent Director will contribute to Board effectiveness by bringing an external perspective, participating in strong corporate governance practices and helping guide long-term strategy for one of Canada’s leading construction companies.

Buttcon is specifically seeking candidates with leadership or governance experience in the private sector who also bring strength in at least one of three areas:

      • Financial expertise

      • Access to strategic relationships

      • Experience with Indigenous leadership or engagement

Relevant committee experience, in either an HR/Talent/Compensation or Audit, is an asset.
