CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Jennifer Mondoux

Jennifer is a human capital advisor and talent solutions professional, with nearly two decades’ worth of experience working with private companies. An exceptional search professional, she has helped dozens of founders and entrepreneurs of mid-market companies build out their senior leadership teams. Jennifer is seen as a trusted advisor, with an expertise that allows her to guide clients through the lifecycle of their talent needs. This includes compensation design, performance management, market mapping, as well as other more highly specialized services in M&A talent mapping and executive communications. In addition to her deep relationship with her entrepreneurial clients, Jennifer is connected both regionally and nationally with senior leadership candidates as well as with a network of professionals in private company leadership and governance.

She is also the founder of Canada’s Best Private Boards, a first-of-its-kind national and annual program that recognizes the impact of governance on the performance of private companies.

Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in political studies from Queen’s University, a post-graduate degree in journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University, as well as a director’s certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). A big believer in giving back, she volunteers her time with The Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health as a board director and as chair of the foundation’s compensation and succession committee. In 2023, she established The Valerie Feltham and Tammy Bekkers Memorial Bursary to support undergraduate students in financial need at Queen’s University and in honour of the passing of two dear friends in 1993.

She has called Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton, Kingston and now Ottawa home over the years, and currently lives there with her family and four-year-old Australian Shepherd, Jozy. She happily serves her clients in both English and French.

PRINCIPAL AND MANAGER OF OPERATIONS

Theresa Hannah

Theresa Hannah excels at complex technical leadership assignments in engineering consulting, manufacturing and construction, and at finding right-fit candidates for senior finance, marketing and product roles across a variety of industries including advertising/creative, technology, retail, insurance, consumer products and real estate. She builds an instant rapport with candidates, has an innate understanding of fit inside of our clients’ entrepreneurial private-sector environments, and helps further the firm’s human capital advisory practice by co-leading organizational culture and leadership assessments, as well as market mapping assignments. She is able to serve our clients in both French and English.

In addition to her duties as principal, Theresa is also the firm’s manager of operations and plays an important role as a coach to the research team.

Originally from Edmonton and with a master’s degree in conservation biology from the University of Alberta, Theresa is also a seasoned world traveller who has been to the four corners of the globe – with family in tow. She is an ornithologist (e.g. a bird biologist) and has a passion for photography.

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Sophia Ku

Sophia is a trusted advisor to our entrepreneurial client base and has an innate understanding of what makes people succeed inside of these environments. As a human capital advisor and search professional, she delivers talent solutions for our clients in both French and English. She specializes in complex search mandates in senior finance, operations, product, project management and human resources in multiple industries, including consumer products, engineering, technology, manufacturing, and real estate, and develops an exceptional rapport with clients as she leads and manages each project. Passionate about the work and client-focused, Sophia also co-leads many of the firm’s business development initiatives.

A Montrealer by birth and an applied economics graduate from Queen’s University, Sophia is also an amateur powerlifting athlete who competes regionally. At last count she can deadlift 303 pounds.

Nolan Holmes

Nolan is a confident and analytical professional in human capital advisory who specialises in talent solutions for our private sector clients. He has a particular expertise in senior finance, technology, human resources and project management roles, and in leading market mapping assignments to help our clients make informed decisions. His industry expertise is varied, and includes real estate investment, construction, manufacturing, engineering consulting, technology and advertising/creative. He has a natural ability to connect with clients and candidates alike, and can do so in both French and English thus supporting our francophone client base.

Originally from the National Capital Region, Nolan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University where he graduated top of his class. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honour society for collegiate schools of business. He is also passionate about personal fitness.

ASSOCIATE, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

Tennyson Kainz-Potter

Tennyson works closely with the leadership team in developing and executing on its ambitious marketing, communications and business development strategy. She has been instrumental in helping craft the firm’s brand and positioning, overseeing the development of all related assets including social and web platforms, and in supporting the CEO on the execution of various communication and brand initiatives. Tennyson also oversees company events, including an anniversary party celebrating the firm’s fifth year in business, as well as the launch of Canada’s Best Private Boards. This program, founded by the firm in 2023, annually recognizes the impact of governance on the performance of private companies.

Based in Toronto, Tennyson originally hails from Ottawa. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in political studies with a minor in art history from Queen’s University, as well as a graduate diploma in business from the Smith School of Business (also from Queen’s). It’s here where she fell in love with marketing and we’re grateful for it.

Karen McKnight

Karen started her private Executive Coaching practice “Transitions’ Edge Ltd.” in 2002, providing coaching and consulting to individuals and organizations. Her critical objectives are to support, challenge and guide her clients in establishing and achieving goals, as well as successfully navigating change, both in business and in their personal lives.

Karen works with motivated people who are ready to make the necessary changes to advance in their careers, to be successful in their endeavours, and to lead balanced, happy lives. Doug McDonald

Doug is a trusted strategic advisor and mentor and has been a leader in the Canadian and international M&A market for more than 35 years. He held senior positions in Canada and the U.K. during his career with major investment banking and professional services firms, including 22 years as a partner at Deloitte where he founded and lead the Corporate Finance and Private Equity practices.

Doug has been an advisor to Management, Boards and shareholders on key strategic issues relating to growth and transformational transactions. Doug has deep expertise in the Consumer industry including conventional and on-line retail and all food and beverage sectors from the farm gate to branded and private label products.

Doug was Board Chair of the McMichael Canadian Art Foundation for eight years and an officer of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association for eleven years. In addition to his role with MondouxRollins, Doug is an Advisory Board member to Gray Inc. a multidisciplinary engineering, design, construction and advisory firm, Buddha Brands, a better-for-you snacks and beverages company and Zula Alpha Kilo, a leading North American independent creative agency.
